36B top light question - Fri Sep 08 2017 02:16 PM

My Tokhiem 36B pump is a lower serial number. (751577)
Jack SIM stated it was built in 1939.
The top light extends above the globe holder. Is this been modified or was this original and that changed with the later run?

Normal, once you put a globe on you will never know. Chris

Doesn't seem like the ad glass would get much light.

Not all of them had the light manifold inside the top. We discussed this on another thread somewhere. I've had probably a dozen 36Bs over the years and never had one with interior lights in the top...all of them had this setup that I can remember.

I find it a shame that they don't have lighting for the ad glass. I modify my manifolds to light the ad glass and globes properly. I also feel the bulb should be centered in the globe and modify accordingly. But hey, it is just me.
