There must be someone that knows what type of hose was standard on an early Wayne 60, cloth covered or black rubber.
I don't know exactly when rubber hoses came in to use but I'd bet that there was some overlap in use back about the time the 60's were introduced. Like nozzles, the hoses weren't always a part that was furnished by the pump manufacturers so there most likely were both types available and installed at that time. I'd just use whatever I liked best. I put white cloth on my Tok 36B, Bennett 76, and Erie 70 because I think they look classier than rubber. When I get around to restoring my 60 it will probably get one also.....GB
All the 60's that we have restored got 1" black rubber hoses. Unless the customer specifically requests a white hose, it is the opinion of most that black is proper. Paul

I saw an old pic somewhere that showed Gilmore Wayne 60 pumps with white hoses. I plan to use white on mine.
