Hello all,

I just introduced myself in the other topic.
A couple weeks ago i bought myself a gas pump.
Bought it of a farmer who used it on his farm.
As far as i know it's a fill rite model 704, all complete except for the hook / hose Holder which is supposed to be on the front.
Does anybody have this part available? Or know where i can find one?

Hope you can help me out!

This is from the "Company Histories" section of my 2nd Edition of Gas Pump Book:

Tuthill Pump Company
Ft. Wayne, Indiana
Tuthill started in business as the Ossian Engineering Co., Inc., of Ossian, Indiana, making the “Fill-Rite” pumps in the late 1940s. They made only commercial pumps. By the mid-1960s the company moved to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and the name was changed to the Tuthill Pump Company.

This type of pumps were not used in service stations, they were used on farms, taxi garages, truck company garages, etc. where there was no necessity to compute the price of the gasoline being pumped, just the amount of gallons. Also these pumps did not used globes or advertising as the gasoline was not sold retail to the public.
