I recently climbed Into a garage corner piled 10’ high with goodies, and came down with this wonderful sign. The seller told me that the sign had been up there for 30+ years and it was indeed covered in filth. Surprisingly, we plugged it in and it worked! He told me it came out of an old Texaco station in Langeloth pa. My question is “does anyone know the manufacturer of this type of neon sign? Was it a counter type sign or window type sign? Would this type of sign have been supplied by the oil company represented at the station (in this case TEXACO) or would it have just been sold to the owner by the sign manufacturer salesman? Just curious to know more and see what other similar signs might be in other collections. Thanks!

When I was a child in Nebraska, there was a Conklin radiator repair service in town. Don't remember a neon in the window, just a painted sign out front. I believe it was the local family name. Just my 2 cents.

Most all neon sign shops could make their own cans. To my knowledge back then there was no specific CAN maker for neon signs.

Kevin , I once picked up a sign much like this for member Member jeff ( junk king ) on here and made a little crate for it and had a guy take it to him . It looked identical to this one only had a different advertisement name . I guess someone made these back in the day and you just added your own neon . Pretty neat light you have there .
