I purchased a G&B 176 pump and now I’m trying to line up my original skins but it’s not fitting. It doesn’t seem to look like all the other 176s out there. Did I get played? If you could give me any help I’d appreciate it. The holes aren’t lining up on the skins to the base and the skins are to large and want to overlap

Hey Cory...hang in there...someone who knows the answer will chime in directly...the right person just hasn’t been opened up the site yet.
Be encouraged!

Are they new skins? Sometimes you have to trim or custom fit them depending on who made them.

No they’re original 176 skins. The holes don’t even line up and the diameter of the cylinder base is to small

...is it possible that your base is the oddball here? do the skins line up correctly to the top?

It’s defiantly the Base. The skins are original are good. I’m just trying to identify to what Base that is. I bought a G&B 176 and it defiantly isn’t one.

**** Is there anyone out there that has the 176 Base for sale. I don’t need the piping. Just the correct Base like this. *****

I just wanted to insure it wasn’t a 176 so I can get my money back

I find it really hard to believe that the cylinder base was changed by somebody. How could the pipes in that attach to the bottom possibly line up if they were not from the correct pump? Is it possible that the skins are not correct?

What is the outside diameter of the bottom of the cylinder base where the skins attach, should be 10", and what is the inside diameter of the top of your cylinder base where the cylinder fits?, should be a hair over 13"

Looks like you might have a T-179, notice the angled hose outlet. I had a couple T-179's and they were angled and used the small visi-flow gauge. The T-176 hose outlet is cast straight and not angled.

I never tried swapping skins to see if they fit the 176 that I had at one time. I just assumed they were same diameter?

I don't know if I will be of any help. Here is my T 176 cylinder base.
The skins are supposed to overlap down both sides.
