I am restoring a Bowser 245 Red Sentry curb pump...circa 1914
Most restorations I see are bright red. I have seen a few photos of what appear to be original examples, that look to be more of a maroon color
Can anyone chime in on the original color ?

For what it's worth Stig, those originals could've very well been a bright red when new. All old red stuff seems to darken with age.
