Old service station in Fort Worth converted to a fruit stand.
Would have loved to be able to buy the pumps and signs

Thought you would find interesting

Any idea on the year in the pic?

This shot was taken from approximately 1301 S. Jennings Avenue in Fort Worth. The gas station is gone and the area is a parking lot for the "Glaucoma Associates of Texas" office on W. Magnolia.

Here's the address on Google Maps to see the side of what used to be the South Side Hardware Co. building. - Jack J.

Southside Hardware, W. Magnolia, Ft. Worth, Texas. taken in '96

old plantation cafe Ft. Worth, Texas out of business in '45

only other clue in this picture is the billboard on the left advertising Swan

believe station is a (texas pacific coal and oil company) station

has the brick parking lot & images on globes & pumps seem too match as does station of subject posted by Mike

believe picture is in the neighborhood of mid 40's early 50's .. ... cool

The billboards are for White Swan (Grocery Distributors) and Texas & Pacific Railway. Based on the Uncle Sam motif I'd guess this to be Korean War ear.

I believe the billboard is for Swan Soap, not a grocery distributor. Jack J.

I believe you are right about the Swan Soap as the cartoon swan looks identical. White Swan is/was a large grocery distributor in the Texas region who manufactured/sold the OJ shown in Randy's post.
