Saw this listed by a collector/dealer saying original. Nothing looks right about it but I'm no expert.

The listing: "$450 1930’s Texaco porcelain lubester sign or pump plate in very nice condition, very bright colors, some wear on the edge but no hits in the field, measures 7 1/2” in diameter, Guaranteed old and original as always, free shipping in the US. I ship worldwide"

Thoughts and opinions please.

I agree with Tankar…however, I am amazed at the rust and aging on the back side. If it is a reproduction, how in the world can they produce this look on the back? Or is it possible that this is an original plate from overseas? Someone school me! Please!

It's very east to rust an item. The right chemical mixture. I have done it on some metal pieces that I was clearing and wanted the rust look. Never a sign though.
