A friend of mine gave me this 4 foot by 18 inch raybestos sign. It is painted tin. The bottom has been touched up due to rust so there is no date. Any idea of when this sign was made? I cant seem to find anything on the internet like it Thanks Steve

Raybestos "Silver Edge" brake linings were first introduced in 1924. Got that info from the Raybestos corporate website under "History". From observing the boxes of those brake linings and shoes and their applications at auto swap meets over the years, I believe they continued using this trade name into the 1950's.

I would agree with both of you on the age. That is a very cool looking sign. I would also say you did well on the price smile
