Does anyone have a picture of a original 310 that shows how the screws or what ever held the sheetmetal together was? Have only half a side and that side has big holes in it. Not sure what or how it went. Got new sheetmetal but no holes and no idea how they were. Also they are small and a big globe on it would look funny, any pictures of somebody elses for ideas.
Thanks

I had three of the 410's and yes that is the way for them. On the 310 though there are some big holes in the side. I even had 500 of the brass pieces that go on the 410 skins made up so that I could have enough and sell some to help ofset the cost. They are brass and threaded with a bolt on the inside to secure them. Thank you for your pictures, and It helped me remember all of these brass pieces now. Think that I will even get a pictures and post on this site. Love to see those gas pumps of yours again.
Thanks Craig

Can't get to storage yard yet, but the 300 also has larger hole on one side of sheet metal. 300 I have @ house has a larger washer under the machine screw & a re-enforced piece inside the 2nd skin. Made for easy alignment of skins.

Dick: that is how the sheetmetal on this is. Big holes in the sides, for I only have one side. Thanks all for the quick reply.

I use 1 inch o.d. fender washers I get them at fastenal, the normal fender washers are usually 1 1/4, they are the closest I have found to correct...Frank

Lower sheet metal outside piece three 9/16 holes 7/8in. to the center of the holes. One in the center and one each 4in down from top and 4in up from bottom. On inside welded to the lip three plates 1in by 1 1/2in with a 1/4 in 20 tpi tapped hole 1/2
in and centered. Otherwise the hole would be 1in from the other side of the plate. the plate is 1/4in thick. It is welded so that the center of the hole clears the panel by 1/4in. and match the oppisite panel. Hope you can understand this and it helps. Mitch
