HAS ANYBODY EVER SEEN THIS JOHNSON FLANGE SIGN.. EBAY # 310185512441....WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE TRUE VALUE ON THIS SIGN?

This should be interesting! Beautiful sign but the pristine condition and the makers mark have me confused? As a beginner, this is one that I would steer clear of without some help from the experts on here. How about it guys? Whats the scoop on this good looking sign?????

Lacking detail in the hour glass, never noticed any adv. before that does.

...the sign sure looks right to me...I think the lack of detail has to do with the small size of the hourglass...the 'coupons accepted' lettering is hand-generated, and the sign has typical shelving and gloss of an old sign...and the maker's mark looks right...I think it's right...

...'true value'?...should be a LOT...

...I copied the attached photo from somewhere online, might have been Oldgas or eBay, about 3 years ago...looks like the same sign...

OH! OH!--He had his phone # on there and decided to take the best offer, I'll bet!!!

I don't think it is the same sign- the one you posted appears to have a small blemish in the second E of
accepted....the side with the flange up.

...no, not the same sign - the same sign... grin

...it's the same style of sign...and, yes - apparently the sign is sold...don't know when the auction started (thanks eBay!) but it ended with no bids, and yet it is sold...

That sign was real and who freakin' knows what someone paid for that! WOW!

I hate that guys steer clear of minty signs because of all the frauds out there, but I understand it. I looked at that pic for about a 1/2 a nano-second and could tell it was real. I guess just something that comes with experience, not being arrogant, there's just something different about REAL signs.

Thats exactly what I said in another item on here,, after you look at signs for a long time, you just know if your looking at the real thing ..

I agree with Tom, nothing wrong with that sign. I have seen a couple of them, probably one of the rarest Johnson signs out there. Dan

LOL... i e-mailed him Tues and told him i hope he got 7+ for the sign because he lost out otherwise.
I am sure he still has it... most likely fishing or maybe he sold it for $1500 and realized he screwed up. LOL
