Hello to all you sign guys. I need help cleaning chalky painted soda pop signs. These signs were exposed to the out-doors for about 40 years. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Do you suggest rubbing compound, car wax,? Idon't want to make them worse than they presently are. Thanks

Go easy on those chaulky painted signs. Rubbing compound I would think would damage them badly. If you use car wax, try a test spot and be patient. I never had much luck with paint that got chaulky. I just lived with it....
