I dont know where to put this but I wanted people who knew Mike Rhein that he passed away this morning, Family told me he died in his sleep very peaceful. For those of you that did not know Mike he was a stand up guy, ask him a question and he would tell you the truth. He was the grey haired man that was in room 110 with great clean items. His wife Ellen was always there with him. We truly lost a great man in the business and a friend. Love ya Buddy. You will be so missed.
Sorry to hear that. I have had many can deals with Mike over the years and he was always great to deal with.

I'm saddened by the news as I was looking forward to meeting with Mike this month, but put it off due to my schedule.
Alvin Meilke introduced me to Mike in February of 2001 in my first years of collecting. Since then Mike made it possible for me to add pieces to my collection which wouldn't have happened without his knowledge and friendships. He was a great guy to know and converse with, always approachable and nice...
My sincere condolences to Mike's family and friends.

I too knew Mike for I'm guessing 25-30 yrs.He bought from me and I too bought from him.We shared info on items and I feel if we had lived closer to one another we would have been really close friends. But I feel we were any way as we seen each other at a lot of the gas and oil shows that were on going. My last conversation was with Mike in Iowa this year,I could tell he didn't feel good even though he always had that smile and a hello Jim.As he left one room in the room hoping as he was leaving the room and I coming in I felt someone grab my hand.I looked back and it was Mike.I had a feeling that was kinda of a sign he was passing on to me.Any way I guess what I'm trying to say is that in my 30yrs of being in this business or hobby which ever it is for you.He was the reason I was a better person for knowing him.I'm going to miss you Mike we collected those darn old cans for many years and I suppose where ever you are you still are.Happy hunting my friend.
Jim
