Just curious if anyone has an estimate on how many different square type outboard quarts are out there. I have close to 30, My dad about the same and my stepdad has over 60. We don't have much overlap in our collections but I know there is a lot more out there. Thanks,Mike

Do you have one of these?

No I don't have one but remember it from before I started picking them up. Very nice can though!

That is a fantastic Outboard can, Bob!

I'm sure there are hundreds of different designed "Outboard" oil cans from the different Oil Company's...

Veedol alone had at least 5 different versions of the "square" Outboard Motor Oil can, that I've collected so far...

Wow! That is an intersting question. When I started collecting about a year ago, I started a little side bar collection of these. I have 15 of them but I only look for major companies. Got to limit it somewhere.

I did the same in the early 90s but sold them. Wish I would've kept going! I will try to put pics of mine on this weekend when my technical advisor (wife) is off work!

At last count, I had 212 different "rectangular" outboard
oil cans in my collection. I have pictures of all of them;
the file for just the rectangular quarts is 14MEG.
Can possible e-mail file , but will take WAY too long
to post them all here.

Had planned on that over the weekend but time got away. The wife and I work different shifts and I need her expertise! I'll get them on soon. Mike

Pat attention the next time wife posts pictures or ask a neighborhood kid to show ya how!
Even Jack Sim, at his Advanced Age can post pictures!

Thanks for the pics Mike. Those are great cans! Thanks to you too Dick. I'll take your advice. I really should make an effort to keep up with technology! I really shouldn't top out at working the dvd player, surfing the web, or making microwave popcorn! Mike

Kmann did this Collectible Of The Month... "OUTBOARD" in 2007 while he was still on the site.

I would think in the 38 pages he put up you will find as much outboard stuff as there is out there.

Okay, I'm done. I sent my photo file out to those that asked.
