I've never seen a Sunoco A38 in old pics or otherwise, but wondered if anyone else ever has. If so, I would love to get my hands on one of the big top glass pieces!

I have never seen one either. However, one of the books shows that "Blue Sunoco" and "Dynafuel" lenses were originally produced for the A38. I think an A38 would look good restored to Sunoco!

Thanks for the input Jason. What book are you referring to?

My guess is that there is some A38 glass for Sunoco out there somewhere.

Probably not for new pumps ordered by Sunoco through National, but glass cut for stations taken over by Sunoco jobbers that had A38 pumps already in service. That's probably why you don't see them often.

Steve, I believe the book is "A Guide to Gas Pump Restorations". I will check and make sure that is correct when I get home this evening.

While looking through my Sunoco pics, I came across this. Never really noticed it before.

Not sure if that is an A38, but sure would love an original piece of that glass some day!!!

I'm pretty sure it is. Looks, like an A38 to me.
