I am looking for old (50's) Carter Fuel Filter boxes to display. I don't have any photos of the boxes, but they look to be 2 1/2 inches across the front with a light colored front, the top 1/4 inch of the front of the box looks like a dark color, maybe red? (I am looking at a small photo of one through a magnifying glass.)
If you have a photo of the box, please post it.
Mike
Get me some pictures & sizes IF you can't find some boxes. I made a few of these for Thunder.

Jack do you have the add for the metal display which has 2 drawers and 3 shelves?
Dick, as soon as I can figure out the boxes, I will contact you.
Mike
I have about 100 pieces of Carter literature, many displays shown, but none as you describe. Can you give me a year, I have a ton of mags. I haven't even looked at in years.

Below is the metal display cabinet I am describing. I am looking for any info on the display:
Mike--I saw one of those countertop displays today but the man wouldn't give me a price on it. It looked pretty good but I don't think there was anything in it. I saw one sell on ebay recently for $1400+. What is a decent one worth? I'm pretty sure this other one could be bought decent, I think?
The photo i posted is a photo of mine. My first one was a bit rough. I like mine with a bit of patina on them. $1400 was WAY over priced for this display. You can find an almost N.O.S. One for $400 and under. If you want it to be complete make sure it has the parts list printed on cardboard slid in to the slot the back.
I have bad photo of one on a counter top, and to insult to injury, the display is placed in the back round.
Thanks, that helps! If I'm able to get back into the area where I spotted it, I'll know what to look for! It looked pretty nice thru the window!
I have one very similar!!! Only one drawer. Here's what I did with mine. Came out of a barn. Price: Free.
Talk about thread drift... LOL.
There are a few of types of cardboard boxes, one for the whole "inline" fuel filters, one for just the filter elements, and the small in the carb filter elements, somewhere I have a couple of them, I have a couple of floor standing Carter parts bins. tt
I don't have any of the Carter boxes..but I do have another stash of NOS Carter rebuild kits left over from filling my Carter rack. If interested fire me a pm and we can work something out.
Thought I had a pic of them, here you go, if interested pm me:
Also..while we're showing the Carter stuff...their two sided sign is one of my favorite signs in my collection:
Keep em coming guys!
I would love to add that Gasket assortment rack to my wall as well. I love the look.
Oldgoaly see if you can find the boxes and post some photos please.
Mike
59Fairlane yours is in great condition. See if you can find the other drawer.
Since this thread has gone from a request for boxes to displaying anything Carter, I might as well give you all that I can find to look for. Dates are shown under the picture.
