What a "Colorful Collection!" NEAT-O!
...not that odd a collection...the graffiti artists have fueled a pretty strong demand for vintage spray paint cans...had a guy ask me about them last time I set up at the flea market...
There are some of us out there, but only a real handfull or two that are into it.....always interested in what people dig up...
Anyone out there have old spray paint related items????
Still looking, got a real nice Mobile can from one of the guys on here, always lookin for more....

James
Hi,
Very nice collection.
I collect GM spray cans and touch-up bottles.
Bob Beck
I might have some laying around or at my shop.....
Still looking if anyone is finding old spray paint cans....
Someone from here emailed my site, I replied but got nothing in return. If you are here I am interested in that can.
Still looking for cans if anyone is finding them, or has any laying around.
Here is the first style of spray paint in aerosol form ever made. This is the original krylon can. I would pay serious money if someone found me this $200+ depending on condition. I am also interested in any other old spray paint cans in this style, but I can't say I would pay that much for other brands.
Thats a cool looking Krylon can.
All the original spray paint cans were shaped like that. The top was actually concave so in order to spray you would have to hold the can at a 45º angle. They were only made for a very brief time I would say 1949-1951 maybe a little longer. Lots of ads I see by 1951 had already changed the can style, to a slightly more modern look. I only know of a handful of paint cans that were made like this. You mostly see them as bug sprays. Other household products were also available. I will try and get some pictures of the random cans I have.
Still looking for cans if anyone has found them.
...found this 1965 display, you can have it for $65, shipped...
Have someone interested in the sign, sent you a PM....
Anyone come across any paint cans lately?
No spray cans, did find a Dutchboy White Lead Paint pail... interested?
Nope, but thanks for asking. If I started saving all the neat old paint cans I come across I would be in real trouble. Thanks, Dave
Found some more cans. PM sent.
And to think I threw away about 50 or so that were from the 60s and early 70s a couple of years ago.
Found a few cans if you have interest?
Not interest in those, but thanks for posting.
I just sold an IH can to a gentleman on this forum. Its under my posting of auto related aerosol cans for sale.
Still looking if anyone out there is finding any....
I have some pepboys stuff I have been finding, is there any interest in those items to anyone? I would trade for items I am interested in....
I would like to thank everyone here that has been able to find me cans over the years. I am still looking for old spray paint cans if anyone has come across any. Also looking for the self-feeding metal display racks with or without signage. Also signs from any brand that made spray paint. Including but not limited to Rust-Oleu (even their early pre-spray signs) Red Devil (paint company not the tool company) Derusto and of course Krylon.
Thanks for all the interest. Lots of new cans popping up. Most cans prices start at $5 a can and can go as high as $50 or more for some of the more rare cans. I really appreciate people taking the time to email me. Thanks again guys....
Looking for any type of spray paint display too. Lots of times people find the signs and destroy the display. If anyone comes across a display for paint cans I would be VERY interested in the complete display. It is a great way for me to display my collection.
I am also very interested in this original style of aerosol spray can. I pay about $40 for these cans in clean condition. Sometimes more. Someone had one on here, but now I cannot get in touch with them....

I will be heading to Hershey again this year. If anyone has any old spray paint cans or signs/displays let me know. I would be able to meet up at hershey to pick up. Thanks in advance.
I picked up this sign in Charlotte. Any interest?
Yes paul I am. Send me a pm with your asking price. Thanks.
I am on the lookout for old Spray Paint displays. Small floor models or counter models are wanted to aid in the display of my cans.
Displays similar to that one, not necessarily for older smaller cans, could be for the modern size cans.
This cold weather really hampers my digging….anyone having any luck???
Still looking if anyone has come across anything lately.
Sears Acrylic Enamel Lime Green by
slyle133, on Flickr
Another brand I have been trying to find more of, is anything made for Sears. Early cans were not labeled sears, but called Master Mixed.
I have this Outboard Spray can, if interested send a PM. Thanks Dino
Neat spray can, but unfortunatley most of the value would be eaten up by the shipping cost. Thanks for sharing.
here are some auto ones plymoth ford chevy all dated mid 50s $12 a can plus shipping or better on lot thanks
a few more
WOW that is a neat lot. Only problem is that I do not collect auto related sprays. I have a couple of those cans, but tend to stay away from them. I appreciate the photos and if you find anything else I would love to hear from you. Thanks...
Any interest in these? They are 26 1/4" x 6" and seem to be made of fiberglass. I know, only one is spray.
yes i am interested will pm you
Not sure if this is quite up your alley but I saw this thread so figured I would post this Tru-test sign that I have. Let me know if interested.

Terry thanks, think we have a mutual friend that had asked me about the sign. I appreciate it, but not really what I am looking for.
Oh yeah ok. Didn't realize that was you!
Always looking for more old spray paint cans. Would love to see more counter displays. Also interested in regular paint companies like Krylon, Rustoleum and Red Devil Paints NY (not tools, based out of NJ)
Anyone coming across anything lately? I am still looking.
I have these...
And these...let me know. Thanks
3 of them I am kinda interested in...
Hello, wanted to shoot you a picture of these cans that I have. PM with questions. Thanks
That Plastikote is the original style aerosol can. The sargent is real neat, along with the devoe. Its a shame the krylon is missing its cap, that is common for those cans.
I never understand why all the old cans I find are always in Coppertone, gold or brass. Lets not forget clear. It was like no one ever used colors. I guess it was alot easier than the old way with the metallic powders.
Are you interested in selling? If so could you PM me a price.
I will most likely be attending Hershey and Carlisle this year on Wed/Thur if anyone has any spray paint Items I could meet up. Or tell me where your stand will be!
Saw this on a different website and thought you might be interested. He's asking $22.00 shipped

Thanks mike. That is a 1950's style can. I currently have one of those, so am not really interested. It is a good early style can though. Thanks for sharing.
Still looking if anyone has found anything.
Always looking if anyone is finding any. I can supply a # to text photos to on the fly.
It's been a while. Anyone coming across anything for me? I am still very interested.
Bump to the top....still looking.
Anyone? still on the hunt, always buying.
Bobby Brite Spray Paint Can I am looking for this spray paint can. I believe a gentleman on this forum had offered it to me. I have since lost his contact info. I would be very interested in acquiring it if anyone can help me locate it.
Anyone finding anything? I am still on the lookout.
Back to the top you go. Snowy days got me itching to find some stuff.
Just a little bump. Still looking anyone finding????
Anyone???? Still looking, always buying!
Cool collection. Love those signs!
This post is almost 10 pages??
Most of it is me. I try to keep the thread going as I am always looking. Thanks to all the people that have helped with my collection so far.
Bump, still looking! Anyone? Anything?
I only have a few that are on your list.
2009 Avocado
2011 Jungle Green
2110 Hot Pink
I probably overpaid for them, but Jungle Green was something of a holy grail for me...
I mostly wanted to applaud your thoroughness. Yesterday when I was trying to do some paint research I saw slyle133 in a number of forums. (I was the one who messaged you on eBay btw)
I was curious, however, are you looking for those colors (is it an updated list) in any era? Grade? I probably have a couple that I use still, the stock is running low... but, those are all 90's cans.
Hey great cans. I could not reply via eBay as they flagged me for trying to deal outside of ebay. Contact me through DM here and send an email. I tried to messge you, nothing went through.
I didn't follow up as I'm not in a position to do anything until my next paycheck (at the end of August)... long story...
I have read up a bit more, you're quite famous in a number of spray paint groups.
The easiest way to communicate would probably just be through Facebook. I'm the only Wim Laven in the world so I'm pretty easy to track down.
Anyway, following up with the thread, is the list in your first post still your wish list?
Still on the hunt for anything spray paint related.
Bumping this discussion back to the top. Anyone have any?
I would sell this wood frame tin sign, bright spots are just glare. PM if want better pics. size ect.
Case of Coral

Messaged you with no response.
