This is a 39 I did years ago with a silver skychief to match. Back when jobbers still had rows of short 39's sitting out back with the pump plates still on them. Those were the good old days.

Heres my tohkiem 39 short, made from three different pumps that was given to me , it didn't have the computer so i made it into my mail box, the color scheme is of course in Seaside , with the decals being of the 1960ties.
The Tall -39 is my next and last one , i will do it in H.earl Clack or Golden Eagle from Sunset ,

The short Tokheim is the first pump I restored in 1989, the second tall in
1992.

The short pump came from Globe AZ. A friend and I went to an old station converted to a garage where we knew some pumps used to sit. The owner said oh I hauled those to the scrap yard a while back.
Went to the salvage yard and there they were, just where he had kicked them off the back of the truck. Bought them for what the scrap price was and brought them home. He did one and I did one. I never stopped, he did. The tall pump came from Bozeman, MT. from a bulk plant yard. No dents and had no sign holes, brush paint, etc. Probably privately owned.

Very nice pumps so far guys. And this is only the first day. I can't wait to see more. I think the Tokheim 39 is THE classic gas pump! Wayne 800's, Tokheim 850's, and the others are extradinary pumps to own, but when you are talking to someone about a "gas pump" the 39 is the one in their head. Still one of my top favorite pumps.

This is a tll 39 that my buddy Ted Roach redid , he got the pump from he about 6 years ago , original add glass and pump plates , he did a real great job , I'm trying to talk him into overseeing pump plate of the month , he has a large sign collection , mostly pump plates . great job Ted,

Here's a Tokheim Mod#39 that I bought off of a farm in Idaho. It had been snowing, and the farmer used his tractor/loader to bring it out of the mud for me. I really liked the way it looked with the signs and add glass, so I've never touched it, just left it unrestored. Note the Sieberling tire sign next to it? Ever seen an advertisment for "AIR COOLED" TIRES? Aren't they all air cooled? ha ha...

Your tall 39 looks great! I want to know what color you used on the body? The first pump I reastored is a tall 39 also, but I have not posted it yet.

Nice color on that Chevron, very clean pump inside and out.

Sometimes there's just too much heritage in the pumps like dons and it is neat just left like it is. I call those patio pumps, little rust, a few nicks, but lots of character.

If dwaine didnt have so much nice seaside stuff, I might feel sorry for him and send him a top for his tall pump. Not.

Nice tall pump ted, we are thinking about a collection to buy Dwaine a top for his pump.
I hate to see it standing exposed like that.
He will probably want some nice seaside glass to go with it.

Here is the new Tokheim 39 tall boy that I just bought for 330.00 - he has another one to that I am going to buy as well as his ?? wayne 55 ?? that I think is more like a 505... We will see.

Anyone got a picture of a tall 39 with a tokheim station lighter ? that makes one tall electric pump.

You talk about tall ceilings?

I have a Fry visible that is about 12 feet tall or so that is restored - and I want to bring it inside the house.

PROBLEM, 8'3" tall NEW ceilings and a wife that will not let me cut a hole in them!!! I do not understand that - I let her put her dolls all over the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway - I guess I should not complain, I have a restored tokheim 300 inside the front enterway along with a restored 1920 condom machine on the wall by it... And she lets me keep my slot machines in the living room and my 50's lubster... and now she said I can bring in my new tokheim 39 when I restore it and put in in the bedroom....

Maybe I will just cut that hole when she is at work - "i do not work - i am a stay at home office boy!" :-)

Alright you guys may be tough when it comes to home display but I'm looking for someone with a two story house and a tall visible that cut a hole in the top floor and let the pump extend into the upstairs ! Now thats hard as nails.

I THINK THEY SHOULD PUT A GLOBE ON TOP OF THE STATION LIGHTER PUMP, ON THE LIGHT. HA HA

You can see in the photo of the Chevron Supreme pump, the old basement floor level, it used to be 7'4", that wouldn't do at all. I ended up sawcutting the slab and removing 34 cubic yards of dirt, poured a new floor and sides, now I have a 10' 4" ceiling. I'll show some more pics later on. I better measure that Stationlighter first though it might be close.

Anybody with a pump too tall give me a call and I'll haul it off. I finally erected a metal building with sixteen foot eaves. That oughta do it. I think Dwaines pumps are too big for his place and he should drop them off with me. I could use some seaside stuff. As far as Dwaine sex has been out for years. Ha Ha

I know I am a little late posting a February pump of the month photo, but I guess its better late than never.

Thats one nice looking Husky Pump, they're one of my western states favorites including Frontier. You better put some bars on the windows with that husky sign hanging on the wall, its a nice one too.
