Can you give me a reasonable value and tell if its a re-pop. If it is what are the triggers for a re-pop.
Was that from the antique mall in Williamston?
Look inside at back side of lens. Image should look just slightly frosty but still be very clear. Not whited over. If that makes sense.
For some reason, this is the only Sunoco lens where originals do say "made in U.S.A." Not sure why.
$650-$900 depending on the phase of the moon and who's buying. (assuming both lenses are there and the body is original)
P.S., I would say body has been repainted from what I see here. And personally, I don't like the color.
P.S.S., Don't take this to personal but I/we do take it somewhat personal. As a newer member, I've seen you asking several questions on here lately. Are you a collector or just looking to make a buck?
And if your "the other guys", who are the "other guys"??
Steve-- I think "the other guys" was a marketing slogan for Goodrich tires back in the day. Since this fellows last name is Goodrich and he collects signage named as such, he used the catchy phrase as his handle?
Just speculation on my part!!
lol, thanks Kevin. I was just curious. I thought it was a catchy name. Wanted to mess him a bit about it.
Thank you for information, Mr. Frith is right about the name. That is how I remember the ads growing up.
It is the globe from the Williamston mall. Do you think it is original?
No offence, How do you learn without asking questions?
I think I am like everyone else on site or blog.trying to collect what I want, I am not rich I can only have so much.
The other Sunoco globes I looked up have yellow bodies, I am not sure if the blue is personal preference or Sunoco let station owner use both
I certainly remember the globe as I thought the blue used on the body was a terrible color, lol! I did not have them get the globe out of the case, so I did not see the lenses from the inside to judge authenticity 100%.

Thank you all for the help. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site. I have a lot to learn.
