Early 1900's Acme Oil Filter? Very Large Canister - Wed Oct 25 2017 12:54 AM

Hi. I came across this contraption a few days ago and was hoping to find out any info as far as collectibility, possible rarity, maybe a guess at some sort of value if someone knew. I couldn't find anything other than some old ads from the early 1900's. it's complete minus the two spouts that go in the threaded holes. I believe it's been possibly repainted or touched up at some point but only speculating. It's pretty large. Maybe 2-1/2 feet tall or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen a couple of these at farm and tractor shows. McCormick made one that looks different from the one pictured. One like the one pictured sold at auction previously for 150.00

This is super cool. It is pretty big too. That would make a great conversation piece by the pool table.
