HI, hoping for advice. We dug this light (24" circumference at the bottom) out of the bush. It's a bit weathered, original light, wiring etc still with it.
Porcelain is worn, some rusting around the top where the cap attaches. What do you think the value is? Is it worth looking for someone to restore?

It looks like its in good condition already, although I dont know what the underside looks like or the sockets for that matter. But if you slap some paint stripper on it and rinse it off it will do wonders for it. it wont hurt the porcelain. depending on the sockets condition ,id say!75+-275

Hi Jim, thanks for your input! I think the sockets are ok but as mentioned rusting of the top. I haven't decided whether I think it is cool, or just plain ugly LOL. I'm going to bring it in to someone to see if the rusted area can be fixed, and see if it will light up. Thanks again for your time and expertise

Since most of these fixtures have a porcelain reflector, I would urge you to use paint stripper to remove the red paint. The white porcelain may be in better shape than you think. Most buyers would prefer getting it without any other "repairs" made to the porcelain finish.
