I’ve owned this cabinet about 15 years now. Can anyone help me out on it’s value? I haven’t kept up with the market for many years. I’m guessing around the 1500.00 area. Am I close?

Great piece, not sure but I think more to 2500.00 give or take. Just my guess. I’m sure others will chime in.

If you had the side pieces it would be great also and if the front were painted. For those pieces the number above is about correct.

Probably your PM is busting wide open at 1500.00 . Think done 4 is being honest with you. Maybe a little more if the Texaco decal is removable. Sure you know whenever you brand it you limit interest.

Wolfgang

There was an identical model for sale at a local auction this week. It was in good original un-restored condition with one small dent in the door.

I sent a gentleman to bid up to $1,800 and it brought $1,900.

Your cabinet would be worth that + restoration - penalty for the OU Sooners decal.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided that I’m going to go ahead and list it for sale today. I’ve been told anywhere from1500-2500, so I’m going to list it on the higher side and see what happens. I’ll be listing it today on this site.

Wolfgang.....My compliments to you for posting on the Old Gas Value section, AND THEN posting the item in the Old Gas For Sale section. A fair number of people (new members especially) get value info here, and then never offer the Old Gas guys the first shot at the item. It goes to eBay, or the local Craigslist, or wherever. Again...nice going. John
