Hi
I purchased this sign today. I probably overpaid because of the condition but I have never seen one before. I found very little info on the company, just that it was bought out by shell and I think it was out of Canada. It measures 96" by 54". Can anyone help me out with a value or any more information. Thanks
Patrick

That looks like the North Star out of St Paul Minnesota that was bought out by Ashland, not the North Star in Canada that was bought out by Shell.

Ok. Thank you. I didn't know there was 2 north stars. I am from MN and I bought it here in MN.

Does anyone know the age or value?

According to the "Guide to Gasoline Logos" by Wayne Henderson and Scott Benjamin: Oskey Bros. Petroleum in St Paul operated the North Star brand from the 1920's until Ashland acquired the brand in the 1980's. Many stations were converted to the SuperAmerica brand or closed.

Per the Henderson / Benjamin book that logo was used from the 1920's to about 1960, then replaced with the N (Star) logo.
