Planning on make the trip next year, what is everyone's opinion on the best time to go?
6:00 am, a lot less traffic early morn....
Most of it was talking to people in the room to room ,Thursday night, I'm told I talk to much, but it pays to listen to,Friday morning to night is good to,had to pick up some signs today from a consigner for a sale i host ,was there to 8something today, and it was starting going good
I am going back for room to room tonight and may be bidding in Saturday's auction usually can buy some bargains sat to pay my gas,
Thanks to everyone for attending today's show!! The auction starts tomorrow morning at 10:30am EST with many great signs, globes, cans, displays, etc. All items are being sold with no reserve!!

Nice buys EJ.
I went to the auction Saturday and some things went cheap!
All in all, it was a good show, even with the dang rain. One of these years it won't rain in Columbus.
how do find the results to the auction??
GREAT time doing room to room Friday night!!! Can't wait till next year!! And wow, scrolling through the auction prices, things sure seemed to sell very reasonable!!! Even down right cheap in some cases!!
Penn hills 1qt almost$500.$175 on Ebay.
I'm shocked how cheap that nice Quaker State tombstone sign went at the auction. Only $350. I've paid near that for a pretty bad one...

Tell me about it. I paid $400 for one not that nice just the night before in the room to room. Oh well, I'm still okay with it.
Quite a few things went low in the auction partly because the auctioneer was difficult to understand
Totally agree Bryce. BOTH auctioneers were hard to understand and the floor guys were pretty confusing as well. I've been to at least two dozen auctions and that one was the worst in terms of not knowing what was going on.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the show and auction last week, overall it was a huge success!
The auction went well overall on our end, but we did learn a lot to improve upon for our next sale! Clearer bid callers being one of them! There were some good deals for those that stayed for the sale!
Again, thank you to everyone who came out and even though the weather wasn't ideal on Friday, we hope that everyone was able to add something cool to their collections!

Already looking forward to next year!

For being the first time doing a show , you guys did a fantastic job, one of the best if not the best meet I have ever been to.
Everything when smooth.
I agree..thanks Aaron and Andy for taking that on. This was my first petro show and even though the weather stunk on Friday I still had a great time. Got to put some faces with names and check out some really cool stuff.

I agree 100%. I've been to a ton of auctions. I couldn't understand them, or knew where they were at with the price half of the time. I couldn't imagine trying to understand what was going on if this was your first auction.

I also agree with this 100%. Great job guys.
I was impressed with the way you guys ran the show. Just drove to our spaces and set up. No hassle!! Sales were strong, and able to buy a couple of nice signs.
Glad to hear it went well for all that made it. Looking forward to going next year. (Just to finally meet Steve Coppens and collect that Beer that Steve Brazel owes me!!!)
As for the auction, kind of figured something was wrong as I pre-bid on 7 items thru Proxibid and won 6. I didn't really expect to win any of them...LOL
Nobody took any pictures?????
Someone was walking through the parking lot taking pics. I totally forgot even though I brought my camera!

Couple nice qts in pics 10 and 11
Thanks for some pics John!

John, Thanks so much for taking the time to post these photos. Looks like it was a good event and some nice purchases for you!
Thank You. Looks like it was rainy.
Hello. Thanks for the great photos. Does anyone knows who has all the smalls in a case on page 3 or 4 photo 7? A name & cell # will be appreciated. Thanks, Gene
No problem gents I love taking pics for my fellow collectors that are unable to make the show. Weather was junk but the stuff was top notch this year. I had a good time as useual. Thanks to Aaron and Andy for keeping it going.
Great taxi sign, anyone know price ?
Thanks for the pictures. Any idea who had the Vertical Kelly Springfield and Lee Tires signs.
Here are two more pictures. The first one is for those of you who have never made it to a show with room-to-room sales. The picture shows the hotel and how the rooms are set up. If the door is open, you are welcome to walk in and make a purchase.
The second picture is of one of the several planes that flew over from the near-by air show. This was a B-17 bomber (same plane that dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki). The pilots, must've been admiring all of the cool signs... LOL
Steve I believe Fat Man and Little Boy were dropped by a B29. The Enola Gay. Still a cool pic!! And certainly a B17.
Thanks for posting the pics!!
Good pictures, I have some I will also add when I get around to it.
FYI, it was a B-29 that dropped the A-Bombs on Japan. The Enols Gay dropped the first one and the Bockscar dropped the second one.
Wow, lots of good stuff to say the least!
Les you should go next year. The room to room on Friday is a riot!! Had a great time!!
Yes, I think it's been five years since I''ve been there. If I go I'll bring the beer.
It was actually 1-A-bomb and 1-H-bomb
Both were Atomic bombs. Little Boy was Uranium and Fat Man was Plutonium. Neither of them were Hydrogen bombs.
My mistake on the plane. Thank you for correcting me, I should have done a little research instead of relying on my brain (lol). All brave men back in those days, whether in the air, sea or land.
Part of my point was that a lot of cool planes flew by during the show. Anyway, back to gas and oil and signs and stuff...... Hope you enjoyed the pics.
