Just wondering what everyone thought about Morphy having an auction on a Thursday?
It didn't seem to have too much affect on prices, they seemed about right. Some high, some low... seemed pretty typical.
$8,500 for a fantasy Dog-On Good gasoline globe seemed expensive.
Prices seemed about normal for a Morphy auction. What do you guys think about the description of lot# 76 Cast iron Michelin man? I always thought these were newer?

Didn't I see a 28% buyers premium on this sale?
I watched on and off, thought the sales were strong but I didn't see the 28%s buyers fee, if so, bad for sellers great for Morphy. It would be a cold day in August before I would consign my stuff with them.
I believe premium was 26%
Just checked and the premium is 23%.
the premium hasnt changed in about 2 years. regardless if in person or online, it is 20% + 3% for credit card.
(if you choose to use a platform such as proxibid, then there is an additional few % added on to account for the platforms charge)
After looking at the final sales totals it seems as if many are bidding with the 23% in mind. A lot of the stuff I thought was pretty close what I would pay for that item, others not so much.
