Just got these 2 lights today and they are in pretty decent shape. Porcelain is excellent, just missing the 2 glass covers and one is missing the mounting pipe.
Don't know which signs they will fit but they were commonly found on the Standard Oil pole signs.
I can ship these or deliver to Iowa Gas for free! $80

Kevin, they also fit the DX poles or any others with the 1 1/2" pipes. Not all of them had the glass covers. Some just had weep holes for the water. I have a set of each.
Great price.

I checked these lights over and they are the type that Old Racer is talking about! They never had covers, they just have the weep hole in both the reflector and the main body.
The porcelain is perfect on one of the lights and the other one has a chip the size of a pencil eraser. Reflectors are excellent.

So what determines whether they had covers, or not? The lenses sit in that recessed area and the ring to hold the lenses clamps onto the rim of the fixture.
The weep holes need to be there to keep the condensation down.

I'm sure not an expert on these but this is the 3rd st that I've had and I don't ever remember seeing that little weep hole before. Of course, I wasn't looking for it either, so I don't know??

I think you are right! I just looked at both sets I have and they both have weep holes. The one set is just painted over. Looks like one set may be missing the glass lenses. But I think that is the way they were being used from the looks of the stains from water.???

Kevin: I've got two pairs of these lights, all purchased individually. Two had covers and two didn't, but all 4 have the weep hole in both the reflector and the porcelain body. Looking at them, I'm thinking that a regular bulb would not last in this fixture without a cover.

David, thats pretty much correct. There were several different companies that made these style of lights and several different styles. If they illuminate from the bottom, they had a lens and snap clamp of some kind, and a hole to vent them. If the lens was not installed a small weep hole could not get rid of the water, ice, snow, or bugs and the bulb would have a very short life. Most of the lights that did not come with a lens were used to illuminate from the top of the pole/sign downward, and did not need a lens, or a hole to let water in. At almost every swap meet I have been to you can find parts for these lights.
