Now thats gotta be a record??
That's what I thought Kevin...seen it posted, looked around the site for a bit, seen it was sold in pretty quick time!
holy canoly!
I think I'm gonna try that with my 60!
didnt say what it sold for...
Price is not important! Its the fact that there is so much interest out there in owning a gas pump that it sold in 23 minutes!
Granted that its one of the more stylish of the art deco pumps that were ever created, but there are a LOT of them out there! Having it sell that fast, tells me a lot of things!
Nice looking pump too.
I would leave that just as is.That says so much.
Congrats to both buyer & seller.
it is also a narrow body!!
I think back to how many 60's I sold for $250 in the early years.... oh well.
the 60 will always be in my top 5 pumps list!
I bought a pump off the internet the other day and as I was getting out of the truck at home with it a motorcylist passed by and saw the pump on my truck. He turned around and asked what I wanted for it so I threw out a figure and he bought it. I owned it for 6 hours! I was a plain lowtop M&S 80.
I live in Houston and tried to buy that pump off Craigslist, but missed it. I probably would have passed at $1800 and just looked for a restored 60 for around $3k. I am having a hard time finding this stuff around Houston and even Texas for that matter.
yicks.. that was quick.. a great looking pump with so much potential.
It was for sale on CL for 2k ..
