Old Gas Benefit Auction--Stationlighter - Fri Jul 06 2018 06:48 PM
About 2 years ago, I was given this reproduction stationlighter for a Tokheim 39. I had held off using it in the remote chance that I would eventually come across an original--and by golly, I did find an original that I used on my Tokheim 39 gas pump!
Now, when someone actually GIVES you something with the thought of helping you out, I just don't think its right to turn around and sell that item! I have decided that by donating it to Old Gas, we will all receive the benefit of it and maybe someone in the membership can actually use it!
This is actually a pretty high quality assembly and some thought and work went into its manufacture! Now, I am pretty sure it could be used on other gas pumps as well, because of the way its manufactured. It would sure make a great night light sitting on an outside yard pump! Both the base and the light harp are made of cast aluminum and the body is a one piece seamed piece of sheet metal. The lamp shade is made from a piece of spun aluminum. I have no idea who the actual manufacturer is, and if anyone of the reproduction suppliers sell any, but I do know that a reproduction bonnet will run a minimum of $50, so would someone please start this little auction at $50?
Remember, this is for the benefit of Old Gas.com and anything that benefits this site, will benefit all of us, so bid freely and often, and remember---you actually receive this fine reproduction stationlighter for your efforts. The winner can pick it up at Iowa Gas for free or if they want it shipped, they will have to foot the bill.
In order to be fair to the entire membership, I will run this auction for 2 weeks so that everyone should get a chance to view it and bid if they desire! We will end the auction at 6pm central on the 20th of July! Good Luck to all!
