neon came out of the bottom of the sign & around the perimeter .. ...

Thanks for the picture Randy. I agree, the Phillips has red neon on the 66 and green neon around the parameter. The picture doesn’t do it justice. It is dramatic, compared to the Shell. Back in 2015, Vern Walker sold his massive neon sign collection, in which he had 4 of these Phillips neon signs. This is one of those 4.

I was at that sale too, and remember those Phillips signs all lined up......it was quite a sight! I was fortunate to buy a few things there too. It was an incredible sale.
