Thought I'd share

I just finishing putting together my American 2487 and found a home for my Sunoco Globe. Thee globe body patina is almost a perfect match to the patina color on the skins.
All I need now is an original hose and a nozzle. Let me know if any one has them.

Looks great. Nice job. Good thing someone bugged you at two in the morning about some extra parts listed for sale... lol. Globe looks great up there too.

If you get a new cloth hose with brass ends you can make it have an old look. First clean the brass with a scuff pad or steal wool to get the film off. Then dip them in brass ager. It will darken the brass and make it look old. After that put dirt and or grease ( old hard dirty grease not fresh new grease) on it and rub it in. Some water will help set the staining in. To get a little ware or a lot sand it with 80 grit sand paper. Sanding it gives it a fuzzy worn look. Repeat until you are happy with the look. I started with a tan hase, they have a little bit of an old look even when new.
