I spotted this classic Texaco station while on the road in Eastern Washington recently and wanted to share. What a thrill to see the banjo signs still in place. As you might imagine nothing was for sale.

Hey Vern,Did you get to meet the owners next door? They are close friends of my wife's relatives in Eastern Wash. The story behind the station is interesting. They built a new station one block west of this one and when it was ready to move in to they just closed the doors and started operating out of the new one. That was about 1959 or 60!I first approached them about buying items in 1998,and was told that they were considering a resto on the building and that nothing was for sale.(note the progress that they have made.)They have been asked numerous times about the signs and the response has always been the same. They also have a friend that is a collector, and I think he probably has the inside track on anything that will eventually become available.Hey Tom,give me a call and I'll trade you a directions for one of your oil bottle racks.(LOL) Tim
(Vern,There's another huge stash of stuff just north of this location in the same town that has the stampede. You know where I mean?)

yes t2tone,I have been inside. There's a bunch of auto parts, manuals etc. that were left behind the day they moved. An old soda machine, tire changer,tune-up diagnostic center, and they use it to store a tow truck and some other parts nothing really fantastic though. The pumps were removed a long time ago.(by the way you're right!they don't take much to strangers.that's Hubba's mini-van outside.)LOL

Hey Tom, it's easy to find, just go about twenty miles on the state highway past the Indian casino. Can't miss it!

Tim that's funny, I heard Hubba had flames on his rig. I imagine the other place is spoken for as well? I think you should tell Mr. Jackson that being a shirttail relative and all, you ought to be first in line for the goodies.
