I was in heaven visiting Bill Shea at his Route 66 Gas Station Museum in Springfield, Illinois. The museum consists of a porcelain panel "icebox" station and an all metal station building moved there from a nearby site. Bill is a delightful guy to talk to with a wealth of experiences. Enjoy the pics. That Champion air compressor is a thing of beauty and still works. In the image with two old guys, I'm on the left and Bill is on the right.

Bill shows a visitor from Japan some of the many photos on display with a story about each one. There are more gas pumps inside that don't show in these photos.
