I looked, sort of half heartedly, for years to find an old pump to restore. After going to Chicago to finaly pick up my first pump, I found out that there was an old pump in a warehouse at the company that I work for. WHO WOULDA KNOWED.

This old 96c was used years ago to fuel the companys vehicles. I offered to pay a fair amount for it but my boss was happy to clear it out of the buiding and gave it to me.
This one is next for restoration. After removing some paint from the decals, I found that it was once a standard oil gold crown premium pump (white on top and dk blue on the bottom).I'm pretty sure that this is how I will restore it, but I still think it looks cool the way it is displayed by my garage.
By the way.... anyone know if there is a gold crown premim decal available (its a gold band that goes all the way around the pump).I looked in vics catalog but didn't have luck.
Hope this picture downloads this is my first attempt.

Great score! I vote to keep it all original--

Maybe get an original standard globe for it...

Thanks for the tip on the decals Hoodchicken. I checked GAS PUMP HEAVENS web stite today and they do have them.

So far I have more votes to not restore the old 96c. THATS COOL!!! I like them both ways. Leaving it alone and mounting a gold crown globe sounds best!!!

THANKS FOR THE INPUT, Kermit
