I picked this up over the weekend, This is the story that the older gentleman gave me. When he was a kid his father was in the demolition and scrap business. One day his father came home with 4 jeweled globe bodies, and asked his son to take the jewels out so that the bodies could be scraped. He popped each jewel out using a butter knife, He used them for target practice but somehow this one survived.

What do you think is it out of a jeweled body? It measures roughly 1 1/2 inches acros, and is glass.

No, it's to beefy. Jewel Body holders are thin brass approx 1 1/4dia. & have 4 thin legs [holes for holder];
