I know there have been a bunch of texaco pump plates that are repros. I was curious what you think about this one?

Base of the spray pattern is to thick/dark...doesn't look right to me. I'm sure others that are more confident will chime in tomorrow and give a "positive" answer, hopefully they'll back me up...I'm saying no good.

sign appears too have a date of '54
texaco didn't start using the circle R
trademark until '59 ... cool

Agree with Randy,Pete and Doug...Should have REG.T.M. in 1954 and color and injector spray is way off .

Thanks guys, lucky for me the seller refunded my money. I bought this off one of the Facebook pages and I belive the seller was also unaware until I showed him side by side of both.
I know I still have a lot to learn and it's really sad so many of these exist.
