Is this sign correct? On All the signs I have seen the blue is embossed from the white border? Just curious...

hey all, I am new member who owns this sign. I traded a Socony shield sign for several smaller signs from serious collector. And was at first skeptical about this one but boy does it look and feel real. Very heavy and backing looks like the period of some of my other signs.
