I'm not a Shell "expert", but is that sign legit? I don't recall ever seeing a single sided Shell, but I've never claimed to have seen it all either.....

That is fake. The lines are not straight and even. The holes are wrong. Shells signs with this style lines usually have arched SHELL letting with "gasoline" or "motor oil" below. Also 42 and 48 inch were double sided.

Not an expert on shell signs either but I don't think there should be exposed white layers around the chips.
