We had a Post on here about this allready, must have got lost Due to the Technical Difficulties yesterday. I seen a 24" DSP in Perfect 10 condition sell a couple of months ago for $15,000. This sign being a 30" DS Tin sign means that a lot Less of them probably Survived. I am going to guess about $16,000-$17,000 on this one. The Guy selling it has a Top Notch Oilzum collection, he also put out a book about signs.

In my opinion, if this was a 2 sided porcelain sign in 10 condition it would be worth twice as much as this double sided tin one, even if its the only one in existence....rarity doesn't always mean more expensive...i could go on & on about this ebay auction but will bite my tongue

There is going to be a porcelain Oilzum sign in Matthews Peotone auction tomorrow. I think the porcelain version would be more desirable.

I went through Amistadi's Feed Back and found 2 transaction with someone with 2080 feedbacks, Ebay Hides names but they do not change the Feed Back # although you can't veiw their Feed Back you can use the feedback # to help you figure it out. The Ebay User is "Speed1". If I remember right this speed1 guy sells alot of High End Quart Oil Cans. I am guessing these guys are Buddies...

I was biting my tongue & reserving my opinions about certain things with this auction, however every thing has changed after some disturbing things have happened after my first posting on this thread...............as some of you know, i will not be intimitated or harrassed & it only fuels me if you try.....if you have anything to say, or want to defend yourself say it here in a public forum,or email me which is listed here, not by anonymous restricted number phone calls or other underhanded tactics........

So just out of curiosity, now that everything has changed, what was it about this auction that you were biting your tounge and reserving your opinion for?
Posted By: roadrelics Re: WOW!! oilzum sign where will it go? - Tue Oct 28 2008 06:23 PM
DP....as cggas so eloquently puts it, in my opinion i also believe these bidders are schills.....
just take a look at all the ended auctions & make your own decision.....

...after further consultation i am handling the other disturbing facts privately.....

I see what you mean. It does raise some questions.
In fact, after reading further, there really is no question. d***s(2080) and t***e(692) are team players. (There may be others too)

With new ebay rules reserve may not be met and nobody will know who the shill bidders are. Don't you love it a new protection rule that protects criminals. Ted

troach..........there is a way to see who these bidders are..........look at Esse's Garage post above......

I realize if you do the detective work you can figure it out. In the old ebay days all bidders were listed reserve or no reserve and not just the high bidder for non reserve auctions or high bidder if reserve is reached. See what I mean. Ted

yes i do see & know what you mean Ted...ebay has made things more difficult to see what is actually going on & if you really want to hide whats going on, just check the (private auction) box & nobody will see who is doing the schilling, however their is a down side to this....I have never bid on a private auction & for me it raises red flags immediately...i will only bid what i want to pay in any auction, private or not & DO YOUR RESEARCH....
