Another upstanding e-Bay seller; selling a reproduction sign as an original.

Must be getting late,i got it now!! I sent this seller an email yesterday telling him it was a repop and why i KNOW it is not an old sign.No response! Hope i never get that greedy for a few bucks.

I also filed a report with ebay but doubt it will do much good as the seller has a lot of feed back.

NEKBE sells enough original stuff and has been collecting for long enough to know the difference. No doubt in my mind that this is intentional and he will ignore your e-mail.

No doubt about it..

I have been tempted by a few of his original signs but do not want to give him any business!

I can't believe you don't know that it is 100% a reproduction sign,, the white back is a dead giveaway.. this is from a sign collector for 30 yrs.

I stumbled on this a few days ago and have been watching it as well. I just wanted to see how high a reproduction sign would go when stated as an original. Funny how none of the questions asked have been answered.... I bet if somebody asked him to end the auction early for an offer of 2000 dollars he would answer, LOL

If you read his negative feedbacks you will see he is an untrusted seller.

This was his reply to me in regards to telling him it is a repro sign

Seller sucks. I bought ad glass from him and im sure it was bidded up. Only reason i purchased it from him was because i needed it to complete a set. He left me no feedback even though i paid immediately and left him positive.

I reveived an email from the seller--his words, "i bought the sign from a respected Shell collection in S.Il,i think you are wrong".Looking at his feedback i think he is a shyster!

here's his response to me:

first...."I purchased it from a well respected Shell collection from southern IL....he guaranteed it real"

second..."I called the gentleman who originally had this sign and he said that it was indeed real.....why do you think that it isn't? I know there are reproductions out there but not exactly like this one."

I wonder, if nekbe considers himself a well respected e-bay seller?

Right now it is at $291.00 with 3 hours to go.Too bad one can not contact the buyer.

If it exists its real. Just not real old.
