Texaco qckwork polish can..
ebay # 200963924333
I'd say 3000-4000 nice condition but its eBay who knows.
I recall seeing a couple of these cans in the past 5 years, but for some reason I was thinking they were smaller than this one (maybe like a 1 quart size). If that is the case I would think the 1 gallon would be more desirable (better graphics and less produced).
One gallon of metal polish sure seems like it would go a long way.
To answer the title question: My guess is in the 4000 range.
I think it's gonna break the $4K mark!! Great condition and Graphics!
Great can with great graphics! Should bring a lot.
One Millllllion Dollars!!
Very nice can!
I'll be the first to admit it's the first one I've seen.
I would guess $3500. It still has 5 days left... its a nice can!!
I have only seen the smaller cans of this...Wow.
It's at $2900 with a few days to go. The current high bidder has 14% of his bid activity with the seller of this can (according to eBay profile). What, if anything , does that imply to OGers?
To me nothing... I repeat buy all I can from Sellers, I feel that I can trust...
I bought a number of Flying A items, from a Seller who's Father operated a Station under the Tide Water-Associated "Banner"... I now have photos, Company magazines, oil cans, misc smalls... etc.. From this 1 Seller...
They were produced in pint, half gallon, gallon, and the small one Alex just posted in BOTW. I still have photos at home of these being produced on the line. I think it was earlier than the 1918 stated. 1912 or 1914 is coming to mind.
Looks like a hole in the side of it, wonder how big that hole will be for his grandson. : )
Sorry, haven't seen a half gallon rather a quart of this.
Doug
set your snipe & set it high, going off today at 7p.
tire kickers need not apply!..
I think the hole mentioned above will be in the bank account and the son and grandson won't like that either! LOL
cans hit 4k ..
14 different bidders--this could get bigger yet!
I don't understand why people bid so many times. Just bid what you want to pay at the start or bid near the end if it is still in your price range.
Trent is right I wait till the end.
Some Enjoy seeing their name on top all the time, coarse if they thew a high bid it would keep their name on top!
One reason not to bid yor max right away is some poeple may try to push the price up by chipping away at it. Some poeple like to "lay in the weeds" and bid last. You can track what items people are bidding on if you know their ebay name.
When I was collecting vintage movie posters on ebay 1998-2004 I would only bid at the end. Back then I believe many fellow collectors would search what I was bidding on and bid also.
I stopped bidding early for that reason but also not wanting to add to the bidding number as it would also draw attention.
..
hammers down: $4,010.00
A relatively uneventful last minutes of an auction. I was expecting some last minute excitement.
should bring $10,000 no problem
You Reilly think so vmc44?
I'd say 3000-4000 nice condition but its eBay who knows.
JUST a WILD Guess, NO BOOK or CD VALUE quote.
Yea. But it was an educated guess I look at similar cans and past posts
Even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then.
