36B top on Craigslist in Columbus, Ohio. $400 - not mine. Brady
Isn't the globe holder wrong? I got stuck with one of the later ones but I am not going to drill holes in the top to make it work. Anybody with a real one out there that they want to part with? Cheers, Don.
Correct Ring.
Drill new holes in Globe Ring.
I don't think re-drilling the holes will help. Yes I know I can just put screws through with wide washers to keep the globe holder in place but I really prefer to make things fit properly the way they were originally intended. Cheers, Don.
Don--That's a tok 39 ring that you have on that 36B top! You'll ruin your sheet metal if you do it that way.
Kevin, thanks for identifying it. I was told that it came off a 36B but as soon as I opened the package I knew it was wrong. I definitely do not want to use it. I will just have to wait until the right ring comes along, hopefully this decade. Cheers, Don.
There is way too much snow for me to check one of mine, is this one on Ebay correct? Item 171224003230
Thanks for looking but that looks like another 39 ring. It should look like the one pictured below. Cheers, Don
Much appreciated Dick. Now I know what it looks like from the top and bottom. Half the battle is knowing what the missing piece actually looks like so I can recognize it if I ever see one. Cheers, Don.
When you Barrow pictures posted on oldgas, credit should be given!
You are right, credit is due, my omission. The second photo that I used is one that I purloined from a submission by Mr. Dick Bennett to a previous discussion here on oldgas. Cheers, Don.
Thanks Kevin. I may have to 'Barrow' those pictures for my image database of 36B parts. Cheers, Don.
Ahh nice polite understated skewering of Mr. DB! :-)
I have more pictures I can send too if you need them!
