I didn't have much to do so I looked it up, sold it on Ebay for $550 in April 2004

Just found this pic from the 2013 CTO show..Both SC & Diesel side by side.I would say real.

Looks right to me. The A at the bottom is for Allan Morrison Sign Co. from here in Lynchburg Va. and the date of 3-72 is consistent with other Texaco signs they put out that year. They all have a similar paint pattern on the back as well. The three signs I posted all have the same date.
