Seller is saying it is a NOS sign but it does not look right to me. Is it?

There are repops out there that are dated 11-41. They look good on the net but when you get them in your hands it is obvious. I got burned 2 years ago on one. When you have the real deal and the repop in your hands there is no doubt. Be careful! IMO if a seller has any expereience at all in the hobby, they know what they are selling. This sign is like the T-53 small pegasus. It has really screwed a lot of people.

That one is a fake repop no doubt. I have a real one and there are very significant differences. Pm me if you would like more info on what makes them fake and real. Many members on here have been scammed and burned by the fake dated ones

I thought so by looking at the pic of the back and then there were other things but that stood out the most.
I'm not interested in buying one, just saw it and it looked hankey!

This is a copy of the email that I just sent to Icollect247:

Your have a seller on here, that is offering this for sale for $700! http://www.icollect247.com/itempage.php?uniqueid=70052

This item is a REPRODUCTION!!!
Here is forum thread that is discussing that sign.
http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=412000#Post412000

PLEASE HELP PRESERVE THIS HOBBY OF COLLECTING BY MAKING THIS SELLER REMOVE THEIR WORDING AND POSSIBLY EVEN THE ITEM FROM YOUR SITE!

Thanx,
Dave

Do you see others that are listed on there that are repops???

This is the wording that they have at the bottom of their pages.

Our site offers Authentic Vintage Items For Sale from knowledgeable, Independent Dealers and Collectors. Our Shops Guarantee their items. Listings are updated on a daily basis, so you never know what you will find.
Thank you for shopping at icollect247.com

Hopefully they will stand by this statement because I'm seriously considering opening a store on there but not if they support the fradulent sales of reproduction items listed as originals.

Good to know.
These folks are on top of things, at least it seems so. Here is a copy of the message that they sent back.

Thank you for contacting us. We do our best to screen all of the listings,
but were not familiar with this item. We depend on our quality dealers to
list only vintage items. But as you know everyone one does purchase items
unknowing they are reproductions.

We will be contacting the dealer to have them remove the item from the site.
