Not sure of the authenticity but the back bothers me. The one I used to have was white porcelain on the back and said Veribrite.
You're kidding right? Did you see where it's being sold from??
Item location:
Buenos Aires, Argentina
with only one mounting hole?..
this seller has been one of the major players in repros/fantasy signs going back years.
Fake, Repop sign. The Argentinian strikes again!
I'm guessing there must be 100 fake plates for every real one. You can't tell me ebay doesn't have any idea that these people are frauds. There's got to be someone in the system who could stop this if they wanted.
Every collectible group on ebay has people selling knocks offs. From signs, to salt and pepper shakers to doorstops. And you know that people in every collectable category report stuff everyday.......so, can you imagine the manpower it would take to look at and investigate every one of those reports...it would take thousands (if not more) of people.
Because if ebay just removed any item that got reported without investigating, it would be a mess. Person A, who doesn't like person B, could just report his items and have them removed...even it if required more than 1 report, person A could have a few friends or relatives report as well. So, there really is no easy fix for ebay.......but those sellers can be stopped, the simple way...if no one buys their junk...then they go under.......just my 2 cents.
