Is it a visable pump from the 30's? Or is it a short computer pump from the 60's? The 715 models are short computer pumps if I am not mistaken worth $50-$200. I was confused by your term "Visual" - if it is a tall visable its worth a whole lot more - Good luck on your new find.

According to my research there has never been a Wayne 715 visible. Assuming you know what a visible pump is there has been a 515 and a 615 but the nearest number to the 715 is the 711. Any pump missing the hose and the nozzle does not alter the price it is worth unrestored. If you are really wanting to purchase a pump and want to know what it is worth, I suggest you purchase my Gas Pump Identification book. You can get more information about the book at www.crspublcom.

Thanks Jack for not answering another Question without pimping your book.Although I do not have your knowledge on pumps I can pick-up and retain somethings about this hobby.I went to look at this pump in the dark and must have read the tag wrong.I have your book already and could not find a 715 but it does look like a 615.

Jack, I've got a Wayne cut 521 visible that doesn't exist according to you research.
Just beause you don't have a record of it doesn't mean there can't be one. bob

This discussion group was set up for us so we could help each other. According to Jim, buying and selling is part of this discussion group. I don't sell pump doors or faces, I sell books, and until the 200 copies I have are gone, I will continue to "pimp" my book.
I would like to thank everyone who has informed me of pumps that are not in my book. I will be able to share this information with everyone.

Hi, I have a complete top for a 711 Wayne and need a base for it. I figure I can have the tin made locally. The base is 6 sided, if anyone has one they want to part with reasonably give me a holler. Thanx, Les

WHY DOES EVERYBODY PICK ON JACK??? DID HE DO SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW ABOUT?? IS HE A JERK?? HE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT HELPFUL TO ME, HE PUT TOGETHER A BOOK TO THE BEST OF HIS KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY, WITH SOME OF THE INFO HE HAD TO GATHER GOING ON 100 YEARS OLD!! HE HAS DONE MORE RESEARCH THAN I WILL EVER DO AND DEFINTELY MORE THAN YOU JACKASSES THAT ALWAYS SEEM TO JAB HIM. I HAVE PUMPS THAT ARE NOT IN HIS BOOK, DOES THAT MAKE HIM A BAD PERSON?? HIS BOOK IS WORTH DOUBLE WHAT IT SELLS FOR, WHAT OTHER PUBLICATION EVEN COMES CLOSE?? IF THE GUY WANTS TO "PIMP" HIS BOOK TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE IT,, THATS FINE!! LEAVE HIM ALONE, HE ISN'T HURTING ANYBODY.. THATS MY TWO CENTS.. FRANK..

You are right Frank!! Jacks book is a great tool and he has tried to help a lot of people here. Nothing wrong with trying to make a sale where he can.

After all, Scobie always post when he has a new product, Seth offers to sell things in his post. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Let's keep the fun going. My .02 (.03 to you Canadians)

I say let him sell his wares in peace, if you don't want to read his responses, skip over it. Keep selling your book Jack, the silent majority are on your side. Now, with my 3 cents (Canadian) we almost have a dime........eh?

The book shows the 615 at $1200. Complete and in good shape they'll bring that and more here in North East Illinois. The last couple I've seen sell have been in the $1500-$1600 range. One or two sales don't set the market price. I'd say the figure in the book is pretty accurate.

Motorhead, Lastgas15 is right on. Unless your brain dead it's "what the market bears" when it comes to prices on gas pumps. Jacks book is a damn good reference and is only a ballpark figure. So quit bitchin about it and be happy you weren't stupid enough to pay more than the 1200.00 that is listed in the book.
