Frank, thanks for the additional pic's, kind of confirmed my suspicion that the skins on mine were not original......however, not being a "purist" I think I can work with what I have ! I still need to find a "hat" for it though....Thanks again to all ! Z

Steve - If you do decide to restore the Tok and are interested in the same decals currently on the pump, I can help. I found the same decals under several layers of paint on my Neptune 855 and was able to get them reproduced by a local graphics place. The Shell emblem with the "feathery" lines did not seem to be available through any source I could find. I could have more made up for you or anyone else interested.

Thanks for the info on the decals for the Tok ! There must be 7 of them layered on top of each other ! I think I'll go with the majority and leave it as is, put a clam on it & light it up ! have you or anyone else seen the "With TCP" decal ? I've looked at a lot of sites and couldn't locate another or a repop ? when did they incorporate TCP ? just curious ? Thanks again ! Z

...ditto...leave that Shell alone, it's pretty sweet...you should be able to find an original Shell globe with decent paint for $400-500 if you look around...a repro would be cheaper, but IMO you oughta keep'er original...I might have an original piece of Shell ad glass that'd be usable...I'll look around, if I find one I'll shoot you an e-mail...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Thanks Gulfiend ! majority rules ! I've already got my eye on a couple of clam globes......originals....but dang they're spendy ! I do need some more input though, this thing weighs a ton, should I remove the pump & motor to make it a little more managable ? or not ? any input on this would be appreciated ! wow, if you come up with some shell ad glass that would be great ! it has the glass in all 4 panels but they are all clear and just painted over....Thanks again for the input ! Z

...IMO I'd leave it alone, how often would you move it anyway?...I leave the guts in my pumps, to me collecting gutted pumps is like collecting cars without engines....but most on Oldgas would say to 'gut' the pump - remove the pump motor below the computer...someone here probably has a photo of a 'gutted' 39 they could post, to show you what to remove and what NOT to remove...

I had the "With TCP" decal made up too and it came out very clear and readable.
