IS it actually porcelain? It should have white line details throughout the sign which the sign in question does not show. It could be a fiberglass sign valued MUCH less than an original porcelain sign.

Yeah the pump might come home. I figured the pegasus was plastic and newer and not a high value one. what is it worth though? What model pump and is it a good one?

6 or so years ago I paid $55 for my fiberglass one on Ebay, nice quality with all the white lines and more true to the original design. I picked it up locally as shipping was almost as much as the Pegasus. It looks nice on the wall until I can afford an original.

Accept for the globe, which looks like repop, the pump look to possibly all original paint and condition. It is awesome!! I believe it is called an "National A36". But let an expert tell us for sure.

The Pegasus looks like the fiberglass version, they're up in the $350 range on eBay with the white painted in.

The plastic versions that Lewis sold me at Dixie have a 1/4" raised edge on them.

I am going to white line them so they pop a bit more.

Thanks, being a newby I truly value your comments. I will concentrate on the pump and flying A sign and hold smaller value on Pegasus.

...being a newby, you should invest in some reference books, especially Jack Sim's Gas Pump identification book, when the new edition is published...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

What did Flying A sign sell for?

A38 went for 2100.

Looking for photos, etc from 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station and Pal's Diner, Rt. 17 Mahwah, NJ
& US or state highway signs, shields, route markers
