digging through old parts & found the inspection door and latch from the first wayne 60 I ever owned or had ever really seen. Invested $20.00 for the nice straight complete pump in june 1993. blue and orange, nice patina and couldn't wait to blow it apart. (never even got a before picture of it) nice pump with bent inspection door I didn't think I could straighten, it was bugging me anyway on how id block sand that side panel with that door on anyway so I cut the rod/hinge and removed the door, it had a 'goofy lock I didn't have a key for anyway.
my brother stopped by and I asked if he would shear off a piece of stainless this door size. he did, I restored the pump 1993. had a polished stainless access door, sent the nozzle holder in for chrome also. my 2nd wayne 60 came along and I robbed the "stylish brass knob for the stainless access door, made a hinge set up just like original. done worked/works and looks great yet. still have it in the house.
anyway here are what those little holes are for in a 60 door incase anyone was ever wondering. (see if these pics work looks like they need resizing. ill try)

They would have little pins or screws in them to act as "stops" for the latching mechanism. They are usually missing.

Hey Thanks great to see 'ALL you people still going strong!
Ha nice picture, that was a nice faded 60 door I slobbered paint on. (ruined it) still have it stashed in the exact same spot I un(duct)taped it off that pump (showcase pump)after I took that pic I leaned it up against the wall behind the air compressor with a couple other doors.
how about the wayne 60 lock mech pictured above, anyone seen one, have one? that lock has staggered holes that line right up with any 60 access door little holes and the lock cyl fits as tight as a brass knob. the catch catches on the side panel.
i was told from the previous owner that the pump came from the city here where I live it sat outside and fed the city or county trucks.

Just went and looked at a wide body in the garage. My inspection door has those little holes. I got the pump and the door did not have a knob. Maybe it was meant to have a lock as well
