Hard to explain why somebody would "improve" this clock by adding their artwork to it....YUCK! I tried removing the flowers by rubbing with mineral spirits, but it didn't dent it. I did step it up a bit by next trying acetone. It took a LOT of rubbing before the red started to transfer to the rag. Should I keep going with the acetone, or is there something else I should try? I only paid a couple bucks for the clock, primarily for the motor. If the Coke portion is rescued, so much the better.

if I remember this clock is porcelain so acetone would make it's job without damaging the clock

ok so throw it away to the garbage, doesn't worth the rescue exactly like old cans like polly or husky can if you find some rusty ones just trash them, all those old items don't worth the time to rescue them
