Here we have a very rare Depression-era Standard Oil of California Red Crown sign. These were used during the short-lived banking crisis of 1933.
The sign measures 13" wide (including mounting flange) by 12" tall.
Photos show condition: some chips, nicks, and light rust staining. Good shelving, might polish up a little better.
This is an incredibly rare sign and is seldom seen for sale.
$1950.00 ppd. USA.
Cash in person or cashier's check only.
No Pay Pal on this one.

Another gem from Steve:

"As a parting matter, I don't think the people who run this site have much integrity either or at least don't appreciate the concept of free and open speech."

And this one:

"You guys can deceive yourselves further in the belief that this site is useful. Perhaps it is to you. To me, it's a third-rate version of the Kiwanis Club of Altus, Okla."

It seems that Steve doesn't understand that there is no such thing as free speech on an internet forum. Every forum I've ever seen has a user agreement that spells out the limits of free speech that the user has to agree to before they are allowed to post.

It also seems Steve found this site useful for selling his sign but if he's really as dissatisfied with this site perhaps it would be best for everyone if he were no longer a member.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

...sounds about right...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

1. I didn't sell the sign off of this site.
2. This is my exercise of free speech and in no way was restricted by the user agreement.
3. Getting thrown off of Old Gas would be like being thrown out of the Kiwanis Club in Altus, Okla.
4. And now, back to your cardboard cans and plastic signs.
